Today’s track of the day comes from Irish rockers Kodaline. I first heard them in 2012 when their song “All I Want” hit the British charts. The video(s) made me cry and the song was eventually featured in Google’s 2012 Year In Review (which is a wicked cool thing I had no idea they did and worth a watch just for the sake of “Hey I Forgot that happened”). Their songs have an aching hopefulness to them and that appeals to me, and makes me cry apparently. They just released their newest album, Coming Up For Air and I am loving it all. Piano heavy with harmonies, this song reminds me a bit of the soundtrack to Once. I like it. Enjoy.
