If I told you, I didn’t miss anthemic stadium hair metal bands, I’d be lying. It was the cornerstone of my teen years. All the Aqua Net, all the makeup, and all the glam. Add in infectious lyrics, catchy choruses, wailing guitars, and thunderous rhythms, and well, my old school heart was happy as.
That’s where Germany’s Kissin’ Dynamite comes in. Filling a hole in my ever loving music heart that I didn’t know existed.
From their forthcoming eighth album Back with a Bang (July 5, Napalm Records), comes a perfect anthem for a good time, “Raise Your Glass.”
On the song, the band says,
“’Raise Your Glass’ is a hymn-like tribute to the more than seventeen years spent side by side as friends! And sure, there have been also setbacks, but in the end our glasses where always half-full and never half-empty! So join us on our wild rollercoaster-ride and ‘Raise Your Glass’!”
The nostalgic video recaps the band’s history, allowing longtime fans to remember the many moments of the band and introduces new fans like myself to the band that was and to the band that is.
