Industrial metal outfit Trick Casket unleashes their latest sonic storm with the electrifying single, “Bitchcraft”. From the moment the infectious bassline kicks in, one is hooked and drawn into a world of endless hostility and raw emotion.
On the song, vocalist Connor Grant says,
“The creation of the song came from facing my demons. Therapy helped me come face to face with what has been hurting me and dragging me down most of my life, and I think it was vital for my well-being. The track lyrically confronts these demons, personifying inner struggles as tangible entities that must be cast out.”
As the pulsating rhythm takes hold, Connor’s vocals are a powerful blend of anguish and defiance. The track’s tribal-infused drum and dark atmosphere create a sense of unease, mirroring the inner turmoil depicted in the lyrics. It’s a journey through the darkest corners of the mind and a relentless assault on the senses that refuses to be ignored.
At moments, the song makes me think of Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and Gravity Kills as Trick Casket carries a similar push of not only genre boundaries but sound. “Bitchcraft” is a cathartic release of distortion and aggression.
Joey Proulx, drums, adds,
“We hope the song will resonate with listeners suffering from their own inner demons and addictions and show them there’s hope to overcome them.”
Trick Casket delivers a sound that’s heavy, uncompromising, and utterly hypnotic. “Bitchcraft” is a battle cry against inner demons.
