Ahead of their release of “Collide”, we sat down with Matt Donnelly of Chasing Kites to discuss the love story behind the song, collaboration within the band, what makes a good song, what the BBC support means for an artist, before going off the rails to discuss Doctor Who, and more.

Formed in 2021 by Matt with guitarist Liam Hope, drummer James Hunt and bassist Nathan Price, Chasing Kites conitniues to hit listeners in the emotions with each visceral release. Be it the U2-esque track “Shiver” or the infectious “Two Towns”, Chasing Kites crafts infectious guitar driven songs that reverberate with depth and feeling.
