Born from the pandemic and founded on friendship and their Welsh roots, Pacifica’s goal is to simply to get one to once again find that inner youthful energy of hope and feeling good.
Fueled by camaraderie and a shared passion, the band launched their first single, “Hollow” in 2022. Tinged with a fiery angst, the single showcased booming bass lines and drums with deep vocals. Following “Hollow”, the three-track single, “Orchard Drive” also included “Rock and Roll Talking” and “Living in a Lonely Place”.
The three tracks not only gave us a tighter and more cohesive sound but bound as well. Long gone was the angst from “Hollow”, but the fiery passion remained. This time channelled into sounds like their influences Stereophonics and Manic Street Preachers. In particular, “Living in a Lonely Place” gave me an early Social Distortion vibe.
With their latest single, “Hey Man”, the continuing growth of Pacifica can be heard. With a hard and raspy edge, the vocals show maturity and growth that was unheard in the previous tracks. The gritty range of the music shows the band has found roots in their identity and their authenticity.
Through their evolution, Pacifica‘s journey shows the raw essence of youthful vigour and authenticity, inviting listeners to rediscover hope and an invigorating sense of positivity within their melodies.
