From their forthcoming EP, Ask Me Now out on April 26th, Mewn has released the title track, a seven plus minute opus that is lush in atmosphere with its haunting guitars, reverbing bass and drums, and fragile vocals.
Mewn’s lead singer, Daniel Bluer says of the single,
“I’m floating above the chaos, living on a cloud, watching it all happen, attempting not to explode. We wanted to combine the class and pop leanings of American acts like Big Thief and Father John Misty with the long form experimentation of the current UK post-punk-rock scene”
Joining Daniel, is Rachel Bell on guitar and backing vocals, Matthew Protz on keys, Daniel Cowman on drums, and Tom Allen on bass and “Ask Me Now” is both classically refined and boldly experimental.
