“Ballade auf den Tod” the second single from Ellende‘s anticipated album Todbringerin, set for release on August 30th, exemplifies the band’s return to a seminal work that has long eluded their fans.
Originally part of the 2016 album Todbringerin, “Ballade auf den Tod” emerges anew from the ashes of lost masters, reimagined and re-recorded by L.G. and his team at Klangschmiede Studio E. The single is a testament to Ellende‘s commitment to revitalising their earlier work with their “recent vitality and refined abilities,” while preserving the original’s raw, devastating atmosphere.
L.G. reflects,
“Some of you may recognize this long awaited album to be re-released again. Because the license of the old record is not completely ours, and additionally, all recordings were deleted by the former recording studio, this is the only way that this album can be released again as a full re-recorded, reinterpretation.”
Loyal fans of Ellende can expect a fresh yet faithful rendition of their atmospheric and intense black metal sound, making “Ballade auf den Tod” a compelling preview of what’s to come.
