Eight.Fold.Path is the brainchild of Shannon Kerr and their latest single, “Empathy” sees the multi-intrumentalist exploring a mix between nu-metal and rock.
What is unique about “Empathy” is that it has an otherworldly ambient sound before it slides into the nu-metal vibe and Eight.Fold.Path makes it work so seamlessly.
On the song, Shannon says,
“‘Empathy’ examines the idea that the most selfless of intentions – taking on another’s perspective, understanding and feeling another’s experience – can be turned, twisted, even weaponized. I wanted to explore that contradiction in myself, how something so positive could also be a source of pain and disability.”
Both nu-metal transcendence and higher vibrational frequency, “Empathy” is as good for the spirit as it is for the rock-n-roll soul.
“Empathy” will be released on February 23rd.
