I’m a sucker for an infectious beat and “Lucid Love” by Siula has an infectious beat.
But it’s not just the beat that makes “Lucid Love” an infectious song. There’s also vibrant synths that ooze throughout the song and dance with the vocals.
On the song Iqra says,
“The song is a journey that shows the stages of love and addiction to something/someone that’s bad for you; shows the highs and lows of being consumed by someone and the growth that comes after it’s all over. It’s kind of like looking back on something that you know was harmful but appreciating the euphoria you got from the experience (whilst knowing you’re grown enough to never go back).”
Based in Cardiff, Siula is Llion Robertson and Iqra Malik and in creating a song about obsession they have created a song that can be obsessed over, and that is a win.
