MEGG balances chaos and melody in a punk-fuelled confession with “The End”. Her no holds bar track throws pop hooks and punk grit into a head-on collision. With a reputation built on her fearless songwriting, this latest release captures that same unapologetic energy by blending raw honesty with the kind of anthemic sound built for screaming along.
MEGG says,
We wrote ‘The End’ about some mental shit I was going through. This song is about the battle between two versions of myself in my head: the fun, happy, stops and smells the flowers kind of girl and this other crazy bitch who tries to tear everything apart.
That internal war fuels the song’s relentless energy as she channels chaos into something electric. Despite a production sound that leans into early-2000s punk nostalgia, “The End” still sounds fresh and new. MEGG’s vocals hit with the fire of Hayley Williams and the grit of Joan Jett and are backed by driving guitars and pulse-pounding drums that keep the momentum from start to finish.
The contrast between controlled melody and full-throttle aggression makes “The End” feel unshakable. Like a soundtrack for anyone who’s ever fought with their own thoughts.
