In honour of the recently released single, “Phaser” the gents of MY-HI have just released a live session video of the song as they recorded it at Electric Studios.
Fun fact, the song started from the very live session that can be seen below. The band recorded with Alex Gordon and the video was filmed by Avocado Baby Film. To get the sound MY-HI were shooting for, the guitars were re-amped through various amps and pedal boards. You can hear that work in the dirtier and grittier sounds in the guitars.
The live session allows fans an intimate view of the recording process and how an infectious song like “Phaser” is pieced together. Watch it below.
