WATCH: “Go Free” by Bird Streets

Watch

From their latest album, Lagoon, Bird Streets has released a retro style animated video for the song, “Go Free.”

Bird Streets’ mastermind, John Brodeur, teamed up with production company Eat Your Greens to create a video that follows the fictional Bird Streets band of a wolfman (on bass), a tortoise (drums), a snake (keyboard), and an avatar of John wearing a giant bird costume (guitar) as they get up to some hijinks down at the local ice-cream scoop.

Of course as in any classic cartoon, an epic chase ensues, then they pick up their instruments and play a song and the snake shreds a guitar solo.

And it fills a hole in this heart that is nostalgic for Saturday morning cartoons that I grew up on in the 80s.
