LISTEN: “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Alfie Jukes

Music
Shelia Taylor
December 3, 2023

I wasn’t originally going to feature any Christmas music, but the Universe keeps throwing pretty great Christmas songs into my headphones. So, who am I to argue with the Universe?

From Alfie Jukes is a cover of the original holiday classic, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.

Originally written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane in 1943, it was first sung by the legendary Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St Louis. Frank Sinatra recorded it in 1957 for his album A Jolly Christmas, after asking Hugh to adjust the lyrics to be merrier.
